My experience enables me to offer effective outpatient mental health care services that are individualized to your needs. I will listen carefully to your concerns and strive to understand your experiences through your perspective. I will work closely with you to reduce unwanted symptoms related to a number of mental health issues. We will work together at your pace and navigate difficult thoughts and emotions with care.
Identifying and defining your values will empower you to understand who and what is important to you. We will establish coping skills and increase your personal strengths to encourage a meaningful life and support your wellbeing.
Areas of focus include, but are not limited to, grief, life transitions, trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and more.
My approach to counseling is integrative, utilizing a holistic approach, with an emphasis in mindfulness. We will establish therapeutic interventions that are specific to your individual needs.
I believe holistic health is a balance of your whole self, including mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.
Mindfulness encourages a here and now focus, distinguishing between past events, present moments, and future plans.
Specific areas of intervention include, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and grief, and trauma focused therapies.
My commitment is to help individuals examine and process relevant experiences, begin the healing process, and identify and define values We will focus on increasing coping skills and gaining awareness of personal strengths. This is achieved by providing a safe space where problems can be explored, validating your concerns, and defining what you want to change in your life. We will collaborate to customize a treatment plan that is relevant and achievable for you.
I graduated from Capella University in 2020 with a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Idaho (LPC-7664).
Before gaining licensure as a mental health counselor, I volunteered within our community. at the Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline, Treasure Valley Trauma Intervention Program, and Legacy Home Health and Hospice. These experiences added to my understanding of trauma, crisis, pain and suffering, healing, resilience, and human growth.
Currently, I am enrolled in several continuing education courses including, advanced grief counseling; trauma certificate program; and self-harm recovery.
I enjoy camping, kayaking, and other outdoor activities with my family during my free time. I also like to garden, read, and spend time in my greenhouse.
